Tests of anti-oxidant activity of cloform extraction have been conducted. One of the chemical components has been successfully isolated from the chloroform fraction of the bark of Artocarpus lanceifolius Roxb. Multilevel maceration extraction method, fractionation with vacuum liquid column produces 8 main fractions. The DEF fraction produces 4 sub fractions DEF1,DEF2,DEF3, DEF4. The result of isolation with radial chromatography, the DEF4 Fraction produces 43.2 mg of pure compounds. Elucidation of structures with UV-Vis, FTIR, H-NMR, C-NMR, HSQC and HMBC indicates the compound is 14-hydroxyrtonin E (has been previously reported). Antioxidant testing of binding 1,1-difenyl-fikrilhydrazil (DPPH) showed an IC50 value of 44.6 μg/mL (strong category). © 2023 American Institute of Physics Inc.. All rights reserved.
