Stunting is a chronic nutritional problem in toddlers caused by poor parenting and food intake. This study aimed to analyse the blood biochemical profile of stunted and non-stunted toddlers given fermented corn glutinous milk. Biochemical analysis of blood profile includes albumin, iron (Fe), zinc (Zn), haemoglobin (Hb), and calcium ions (Ca+2). This research is a true experiment using pre-and post-tests and observational analysis. The sample of this study was toddlers aged 12-59 months from Pohuwato district, Gorontalo. The characteristics of the research samples included the age, gender, and height of toddlers. The results showed that the intervention of fermented glutinous corn milk could improve the blood biochemical profile of stunted toddlers. On stunted toddlers, the improvement on each blood biochemical profile was as follows: albumin 0.2 g/dL, Fe 9.5 µg/dL (male) 3.3 µg/dL (female), zinc 14 µg/dL, Hb 0.35 g/dL, calcium ions decreased by 0.03 mmol/L (normal). It was concluded that the consumption of fermented corn glutinous milk improved the blood biochemical profile of stunted and non-stunted toddlers. © 2025 The Authors.
