Abstract

In the modern world, where technological innovations are rapidly transforming society, education plays a key role in preparing students for the challenges of the future. This paper investigates the impact of e-learning on learning and memorization processes and provides a foundation for future research in the field of e-learning. This paper includes analysis of experimental data and graphical representations that deepen the understanding of the effectiveness of e-learning. E-learning tools, which include digital and multimedia resources, interactive methods, virtual environments, allow students to best understand and remember the necessary information, promote individualization of the learning process, which is also of great importance in achieving high learner outcomes. In our research, based on the concept of Ebbinghaus forgetting curve, we were able to confirm the effectiveness of e-learning for learning and memorization of educational material in comparison with traditional methods. The results of the analysis showed that, due to e-learning means, after one month, the students of the experimental group were able to retain in their memory the received information, as well as significantly increase the level of understanding of the educational material, which, among other things, contributed to the individualization of the learning process, self-regulation, and the possibility of choice. The present study, aimed at identifying practical aspects of e-learning implementation, was an important contribution to the field of education. Its results should serve as a starting point for further research aimed at improving the effectiveness of educational methods and meeting the needs of modern learners. #CSOC1120. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2024.
