This study investigates the implementation of transglobal leadership in the Globalization 4.0 era within the framework of Indonesia’s Merdeka Belajar [Freedom of Learning] program, particularly in the context of senior high schools in Gorontalo. The research focuses on how school principals apply transglobal leadership principles to adapt to the challenges posed by the educational landscape in the new normal. Using a quantitative-descriptive approach, this explanatory study examines the leadership of school principals as a crucial element of the human resource system within educational institutions. A sample of sixty-five school principals was selected, and data were gathered through observations and questionnaires. Percentage analysis was used to analyze the data. The findings revealed that (1) school principals’ roles in implementing transglobal leadership reached 80.83%, classified as good and (2) school principals’ strategies for implementing transglobal leadership also reached 80.83%, categorized as good. The study further identifies areas for improvement in transglobal leadership strategies, focusing on intelligence, character development (cognitive, affective, psychomotor, attitude, and personality), performance, culture, leadership style (charismatic and transformational), creativity, innovation, productivity, and work results. These findings underscore the importance of enhancing management and leadership approaches to effectively implement transglobal leadership in educational settings. © 2025 Common Ground Research Networks.
